Founded in 1867, Verein Seglerhaus am Wannsee (VSaW) is the second oldest yacht club in Germany, located on the shores of the Greater Wannsee lake in Berlin. The club has been a significant part of Germany's sailing culture, with its Tudor-style clubhouse, built in 1910, now recognized as a historic monument. VSaW provides mooring space for up to 250 yachts and organizes numerous annual regattas, both national and international. The club is also a founding member of the International Council of Yacht Clubs and plays a key role in events like the prestigious Kiel Week. VSaW has produced many successful sailors who have competed in and won Olympic, World, and European championships.
