The Derwent Sailing Squadron
About The Derwent Sailing Squadron
The Derwent Sailing Squadron welcomes all reciprocal club visitors to their club on the River Derwent in Tasmania.
The club was formed in February 1906 and there a nice timeline here.
Marinas and moorings
The club has spectacular views, and a spectacular marina - the largest and most technically advanced in Tasmania, and offers full facilities to the visiting sailor.
The Squadron is unique in establishing the String of Pearls - a series of mooring sites around the southern Tasmania coast that enables top notch cruising. It allows you to explore the coastal hinterland with it's attractions, wineries, restaurants, walks and much more.
