Founded in 1886, Shelter Island Yacht Club (SIYC) is one of the oldest yacht clubs in the United States, located on Dering Harbor in Shelter Island, New York. The SIYC is home to several active one-design fleets, including the Etchells and Herreshoff H12-½, and maintains a Junior Sailing Program, which has produced numerous competitive sailors, including Olympians.
