About Royal Solent Yacht Club

The Royal Solent Yacht Club was formed in 1878 and has some of the best facilities on the Solent. 

It has several bar and dining areas to relax in with commanding views over the western Solent. It serves lunch and dinner throughout the week.

Social

The club has a full social calendar with games, speakers, dancing, fundraisers and commemorative celebrations.

Sailing

The club hosts the Taittinger Regatta in mid-July attracting over 170 entrants.  It also organises the Folkboat Week which is a much about socialising as it is about racing. It has an active cruising programme  and plenty of opportunities for racing, power-boating and dinghy sailing. 

Moorings

Normally the Club lays 45 moorings for the summer, and the club has a dinghy park that can hold up to 30 dinghies. The club is a great base for visitors to Yarmouth Harbour.

The club extends a warm welcome to all reciprocal visitors.
