Royal Newfoundland Yacht Club

The Royal Newfoundland Yacht Club (RNYC) is situated at Long Pond on Conception Bay, just 15 miles from St. John’s, Newfoundland. Founded in 1960 from the merger of the Newfoundland Yacht Club and Avalon Yacht Club, RNYC received its Royal Charter in 1964. The club provides a protected marina with modern facilities, making it a preferred destination for ocean cruisers. The clubhouse features dining services with panoramic views of Conception Bay, and a lounge area ideal for social gatherings. The club remains a cornerstone for boating and social activities in the region.

RNYC offers a range of social events and amenities for its members. The clubhouse hosts regular dining events, including weekly specials, and can accommodate parties for up to 150 people. Social members enjoy access to the refurbished pool, as well as various seasonal events that foster a strong community spirit among members and their guests.

RNYC has an active sailing program, which includes certified Learn to Sail courses open to both members and non-members. The club organizes several racing events throughout the season, with highlights including the annual Race Week.
