Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron (RMYS), had it's beginnings in the early 1870s, and adopted it's name in 1884. It is a leading yacht club located at St Kilda Beach, Melbourne, Australia. RMYS is renowned for promoting the sport of sailing and providing comprehensive facilities, including a modern floating marina with approximately 250 pens and managing around 115 swing moorings in St. Kilda Harbour. The club organizes races on Port Phillip throughout the year, catering to various sailing interests from keel boats to junior sailing. The club also played a significant role as the control center for the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games yachting events.
