Royal Irish Yacht Club
About Royal Irish Yacht Club
The Royal Irish Yacht Club was founded in 1831, and the clubhouse lies in Dún Laoghaire harbour in the Irish Republic.
Social
The clubhouse has a very elegant dining room and bar. Food is of the highest quality, with fresh locally-sourced ingredients. Of particular note is the club's wine cellar, managed, rather pleasingly, by a Wine Committee.
The social calendar is very diverse: talks on nautical publishing and the Spanish Civil War, bridge, televised sports fixtures, fine dining and much more.
Sailing
The club has a full racing calendar and actively promoted yacht racing in Dublin Bay and beyond. The club also promotes cruising, with the Menai Strait as a 2023 destination.
Mooring and marinas
The club has pontoon moorings and a well-equipped boathouse.
Club status
The club is open.
The club is accepting reciprocal visits.
