About Royal Cork Yacht Club
The Royal Cork Yacht Club is over 300 years old - making the oldest yacht club in the world. Originally it was The Water Club of the Harbour of Cork, founded by William O’Brien, the 9th Lord Inchiquin and his friends. There's a history here and the club has published a book here.
Club members compete at the highest level in all branches of sailing, and the club has a number of World, Olympic, Continental and national sailors among its membership.
The clubhouse is in Crosshaven, and has full facilities including bars and restaurants.
