The Reale Yacht Club Canottieri Savoia was founded in 1983 and there's a fascinating account of the club - and Italy's - turbulent history here.

The club has scored a recent successes with rowing and has paved the way for a new generation of champions. The club's sailing section is also doing well, with some distinguished victories in Mediterranean races.

The clubhouse has a wonderful view of the Castel dell'Ovo  over the Bay of Naples and a view of Capri in the distance. It has the feel of an old English style club: a place to unwind, relax and enjoy the company of friends. It has many facilities as you would expect of a club of this stature.
