Newport Harbor Yacht Club (NHYC), founded in 1916, is situated on the Balboa Peninsula in Newport Beach, California. The club provides a range of amenities including a main dining room, outdoor seating, a private beach, and a pavilion with barbecue facilities. The club hosts numerous regattas, including the bi-annual Newport Beach to Cabo San Lucas race and the Baldwin Cup Team Race. With wet and dry slips available, NHYC can accommodate vessels up to 55 feet in length. The club is currently planning a significant renovation to enhance its facilities. Additionally, NHYC leases Moonstone Cove on Catalina Island, offering members exclusive access to a tranquil retreat.

Mooring and marina facilities

NHYC provides 20 wet slips and 70 mooring cans, accommodating vessels up to 55 feet. The marina services include a full-time dock staff and shore boat service, ensuring members and guests have convenient access to their vessels.

Visiting the club

Reciprocal visitors are welcome at NHYC. Prior arrangements with the Dockmaster are recommended to secure guest moorings. Shore boat service operates daily, making the club easily accessible from your vessel.
