Founded in 1938, Clube Naval de Cascais has been a cornerstone of Portugal's sailing community for decades. The club has a sailing school, the largest in Portugal, which trains around 900 sailors annually across various levels. CNC has a history of producing top-level sailors, including numerous Olympic athletes. The club's modern facilities, renovated in 2007, include a clubhouse with a restaurant, bar, library, gym, and multipurpose rooms, as well as extensive outdoor facilities for boat storage and mooring. CNC is also celebrated for hosting major national and international sailing events, such as the ISAF Sailing World Championship and the America's Cup World Series.
