Circolo Della Vela Como
About Circolo Della Vela Como
The Como Sailing Club, established in 1932 in Como, is one of Italy’s oldest sailing clubs and a successor to the Regio Regate Club Lariano, active since 1872. After World War II, the club became highly active, hosting the general assembly of the Union of Italian Sailing Companies in 1947 and organizing Italy’s first sailing school in 1950.
The club boasts significant sporting achievements, including two Olympics, multiple world and European titles, and numerous Italian titles. The club’s commitment to sailing is evident through its intense competitive activity, from youth racing in the Bug, Laser, and 29ER classes to adults competing internationally in dinghies and cabin cruisers.
