About Chicago Yacht Club
The Chicago Yacht Club was founded in 1875 and has two clubhouses, one in Monroe Harbour which is the main clubhouse for members and the other in Belmont Harbour where the focus is more family oriented, and houses the club's One-Design sailing fleet and sailing school. The club has an illustrious history and takes pride in member Richard Halperin, decorated war hero, football quarterback, Olympic medalist and business entrepeneur.
Social
The club has superb social ameneties. The Monroe clubhouse has a variety of venues to relax in the company of friends and serves "upscale" cuisine using fresh locally-sourced ingredients. The Belmont clubhouse features more informal fare is is the destination for private events.
Sailing
The club participates in over 125 races a year and is home to the Chicago-Mackinac Race, covering nearly 300 nautical miles up Lake Michigan to Mackinac Island. There's a full racing calendar here. The club has an active sailing school.

The club has advice for reciprocal visitors `and you are advised to complete a dock reservation form.
