About Army and Navy (The Rag)
The Army and Navy Club was founded in 1837. The Duke of Wellington was it's first President and it has a long list of famous members. Our favourite is the very colourful Sir Gerald Nabarro. It has a nickname, the Rag, following a 19-th century insult that members took to their heart with great amusement.
The club now supports a large and diverse membership of professionals with premises located in the heart of London.
For relaxation and fine cuisine the club has a selection or bars and restaurants to suit every need, with an emphasis on fresh seasonal food.
It's great for meeting friends, and for business, the club has a very well-equipped suite for people who like to work on-the-go.
You can stay there too, in one of 75 en-suite bedrooms to choose from. And to keep fit and healthy the club has access to a nearby fitness centre, swimming pool and sauna.
The club extends a warm welcome to reciprocal visitors in 2023.
